Bantam Tools Desktop PCB Milling Machine
The diagrams in this section apply to the Bantam Tools Desktop PCB Milling Machine, Othermill Pro, and V2 Othermill.
Spoilboard
The spoilboard is the aluminum plate that comes attached to the Y-bed of the Bantam Tools Desktop Milling Machine. Made out of 6061 aluminum, the spoilboard is designed to be sacrificial and can be resurfaced (or "faced") and replaced if necessary.
The spoilboard has four counterbored holes in the middle that attach it to the Y-bed. The three holes on the front of the spoilboard are designed to hold the alignment bracket and are threaded for M3 bolts.

Alignment Bracket
The alignment bracket is an accessory designed to allow precise alignment during double-sided machining. It's made from 1.5mm-thick (.06in) 430 stainless steel and can be attached to either the spoilboard or Y-bed with low-profile M3 screws. Three of these screws, along with an Allen key to tighten them, are included in the Accessory Kit that ships with the mill.

Y-Bed
The Y-bed is machined from 6061 aluminum and has a set of T-slots that can be used for fixturing material. The Bantam Tools Desktop PCB Milling Machine ships with a spoilboard attached to the Y-bed. The alignment bracket can also be attached directly to the Y-bed.

Motor Mount
We included four M3 PEM-style captive nuts on the right side of the mill’s spindle motor mount for you to use for, well, whatever you’d like! The nuts (PN PEM SP-M3-2) are tapped M3 and pressed into the part, so all you have to do is thread bolts right into it. The motor mount is made from 1.5 mm-thick 430 stainless steel, a ferrous metal, so you can also use magnets to attach things to it.
